  • Details about the job, such as a description of the work, and any photos you send us.
  • Records of our work and payments, such as quotes, invoices and payment records (we do not store card details).
  • Technical information when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is collected by our web hosting and security systems and through cookies (see section 8).

3. How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
  • To arrange, carry out and follow up on work you have asked us to do.
  • To issue invoices, take payment and keep business and tax records.
  • To keep our website secure and working properly.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your permission.

4. Our legal reasons for using your information

  • Contract: to provide a quote or carry out work you have asked for.
  • Legal obligation: to keep financial and tax records.
  • Legitimate interests: to run our business, respond to enquiries and keep our website secure, where this does not override your rights.
  • Consent: for any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 8).

5. Who we share your information with

We only share your information where we need to, for example with:

  • suppliers and service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host, email provider and accountant;

Anyone we share information with must keep it secure and only use it for the purpose we gave it to them. Your information is stored in the UK or, where a provider stores it elsewhere, with appropriate safeguards in place.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry details for up to 2 years if you do not go ahead with any work. If we carry out work for you, we keep job, invoice and payment records for 6 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. After that we securely delete them.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
